The word \u201cEngland\u201d on its own suggests that the piece was marked after the 1891 McKinley Tariff Act (a few pieces were marked in anticipation of trade restrictions \u2013 but almost all are post 1880)<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">2) Pieces marked with \u201cMade in England\u201d tend to indicate that they were made after the First World War.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">3) \u201cRegistered Numbers\u201d (Reg, Reg\u2019d) appear in the mid to late 1880s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">4) \u201cTrade Mark\u201d and \u201cLtd\u201d appear most commonly on china made after 1860<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">5) The word \u201cRoyal\u201d on a piece suggests that it is likely to be Victorian, as does the diamond registration mark.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">6) Royal Coats of Arms are occasionally late Georgian but, more commonly, Victorian.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span class=\"currency_converter_text\">So, what about the pieces with registration marks? Are you comfortable about reading these?
